2nd Line Financial Crime Compliance Manager - 12M FTC

ING Australia are looking to hire an experienced line 2 financial crime compliance manager for a 12-month maternity cover contract.


Reporting to the Head of Financial Crime Compliance, you will be instrumental in assisting the FCC team to meet its local regulatory and global regulatory FCC obligations. The position is responsible for providing FCC advice to the Bank’s retail business and managing the EWRA process.

It requires a high degree of analysis and writing skills, decision making ability, communication and interpersonal skills. The FCC function encourages creativity that allows a person to think outside the box, which results in innovative or different approaches to particular tasks and achieving compliant solutions for the business.

What you’ll do

  • Ensure compliance with all local and global FCC related policies and procedures by providing timely, clear and concise advice to ING’s retail business, KYC Centre of Excellence and/or KYC Operations
  • Ensure implementation of ING’s global FCC policies as well as the local AML/CTF Program and maintain adequate oversight of continuous compliance
  • Manage the annual Enterprise-Wide Risk Assessment (EWRA)
  • Provide guidance and support to the Retail business, KYC Centre of Excellence and KYC Operations to ensure any identified control gaps are closed in a timely manner
  • Support the Retail business with the completion of all Risk & Self Control Assessments (RSCA) and Product Approval Reviews (PARPs) regarding FCC risks
  • Perform Line 2 FCC control assurance as required.


What we’re looking for

  • Strong Financial Crime Compliance advisory experience in a Line 2 FCC team from the banking and financial services industry, ideally in a global bank.
  • Demonstrated experience of managing the EWRA.
  • Strong understanding of Australian AML/CTF laws.
  • Legal, business or aligned tertiary qualifications.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills.
  • Ability to work autonomous, multi-task and manage competing priorities in fast paced environment.
