Making
a difference
together

At ING, we like to say that we’re orange at heart. This means living by our values and creating a culture of inclusion and belonging where we make progress together.

We know that when people feel valued for who they are and able to share their unique perspectives and experiences, they can unlock their full potential. And it’s this that helps ING to grow the difference for customers and wider society.

We believe no one should be left behind. That’s why we’re committed to driving sustained change across all aspects of diversity, reflecting the communities we serve: age & generations, disability & neurodiversity, gender, LGBTQI+, multi-culturalism and race & ethnicity.

Meet our people

At ING we want everyone to find their community. Our employee resource groups help people to connect with colleagues across the bank, sharing experiences and making friends. Find out more about our communities below.

Age & generations

Age diversity is something we value and are proud of. We recognise that people will have had different experiences based on where and when they were born, and what has happened in their lifetime.

Our age and generations groups bring together people at similar stages in life, to share experiences and navigate the working world together. We have 14 networks globally and are growing.

Disability & neurodiversity

We are committed to creating a culture and environment where people with disabilities, and those that care for them, feel like they belong and can reach their full potential.

Our Enable groups bring together people with lived experience of disability and neurodiversity. This includes people that have caring responsibilities. We have 6 networks and are growing.

Gender

Society and business have been talking about the importance of gender diversity for years. It is just as important now as it has ever been.

Our Lioness and gender groups bring together female talent and male allies across the bank to share experiences and have conversations about gender equity.  We have 14 networks globally and are growing.

LGBTQI+

We are committed to creating an inclusive environment for our lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and intersex colleagues. We say ‘no’ to a world where people have to hide their true selves.

Our Rainbow Lions and Proud groups are a safe and celebratory space for people from the LGBTQI+ community and their allies. We have 14 networks and are growing.

Multi-culturalism

In an increasingly connected world, many of us have experiences and backgrounds that span countries and cultures. We want people to feel comfortable being themselves.

Our cultural diversity groups bring together people from different backgrounds and cultures. We have 5 networks and are growing.

Race and ethnicity

We believe in the inclusion of people from all racial and ethnic backgrounds. We want to reflect the communities we serve.

Our BEING (black employee inclusion group) and Pathfinders groups unite people from a range of racial and ethnic backgrounds, creating an open space for talking about and celebrating difference. We have 3 networks globally and are growing.
